Gordon Bennett’s Traditional Fish & Chips Takeaway & Seafood Restaurant

“Based in Milford Marina, Gordon Bennett’s are a high end, award winning fish & chip shop that specialise in homemade food, using locally sourced produce. Our delicious menu can be enjoyed in our restaurant offering tranquil views of the Marina and sea-front, or alternatively as take-away.”

Our Assessment team have recently been supporting staff at Gordon Bennett’s to progress within their roles through work-based learning. One member of staff has rapidly developed her skills and is now working towards a qualification in Hospitality Leadership…

Employer comment:
“The qualifications that Rosa has gained have really aided the business, she is helping to develop and evolve what we deliver, taking it to new heights! I think PRP have also helped Rosa with her development and she has become more confident within her job role, definitely so with the level 3 Hospitality Supervision Qualification she is currently working on. This NVQ has help build & develop her broader knowledge of business, looking in to how to control resources, manage a team and the day to day running. We are very proud of her, well done Rosa!!”

Rosaria:
“The qualifications that I have achieved with PRP so far have definitely helped me and allowed me to feel more confident within my job role! I am currently working on my level 3 Hospitality Supervision & Leadership. Although this is a very different qualification to the one I previously completed, I really do feel it is helping me have a better understanding of the business as a whole. The support from my assessor has been so helpful; she offers advice, guidance and insight. I am so pleased to have had this opportunity to complete this fully funded programme.”

“I have really enjoyed working with Rosa, it has been a pleasure to observe her grow and develop, from a front of house assistant to the manager. She has grown in confidence and ability, managing her team in a positive way, bringing new ideas to the business, controlling resources and problem solving. The written knowledge that Rosa has produced has been first class and she takes feedback very well and proceeds with positivity. Really happy that PRP have been able to offer not only Rosa, but her employer this opportunity and I really hope she continues to use further, work-based learning to aid her in her career.”
